It was hard, but I did it. And I did it with the help of CPC.
At the end, I know it’s rewarding, for my children, not just me. They can see Mommy did it.
Now I feel really motivated. I feel more stable, economically and emotionally.
Faces of Progress
in our community
Our community’s momentum is only as strong as the support we provide. At Community Progress Council, our programs and services support people faced with the challenges of poverty. Moving beyond emergency stopgaps, relationship-based coaching empowers families to advance to self-sufficiency through guidance, resources, and connections for long-term progress.
“Community Progress Council is here to help. All you need to do is go, ask, make the connection.”
“My biggest goal was to have my son in a safe place. I wanted to have a source of employment and create that safe place in my home.”
“I did this for me, for my family. I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot this year.”
“I work together with Wendy on many subjects. For example, we work about insurance, to go to the doctor, my hospital bill.”
“It was a journey for sure. It took me 4 years. But I’m finally stable where I don’t need government assistance.”
