Be part of PROGRESS on May 7, 2021
Your support of Community Progress Council through Give Local York – York County’s 24-hour giving spree – has helped our organization raise more than $140,000 in three years to help residents of our community get onto the path to financial stability.
Donations, such as those you’ve generously made in the past, are more important than ever as tens of thousands in our community have been financially impacted by the Coronavirus – many of them unemployed, facing eviction, and struggling to feed their families.
The team at Community Progress Council is uniquely positioned to provide these residents with resources to immediately assess their urgent needs, as well as develop a long-term strategy for becoming economically self-sufficient. CPC is now working with York County residents who are only recently struggling because of the COVID-19 pandemic and those who have lived in poverty for generations.
Save the date – May 7 – and consider being our partner in progress once again through Give Local York 2021.
How CPC uses donations given during Give Local York
CPC uses donations raised during the annual Give Local York event to support low-income residents who are working with our team to establish and achieve their goals to become financially stable and live free of public assistance.
For most, it’s a long journey filled with hurdles and setbacks, but the staff at CPC – all 230 of us – are here as their support system, making sure each has the resources and motivation to strive for progress.
Your donation may help a mother pay for college tuition, a young father secure reliable transportation to a new job, or cover the cost for someone to become a certified nursing assistant. Each of these steps is critical to becoming financially stable.
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to our continued partnership in making progress across York County.
