“Ready to Rent” Renter Education

Community Progress Council offers renter education to assist those who are getting ready to rent in York County.

Whether you are a first-time renter or have had some bumps in the road renting before, the educational workshop can help prepare you to be a prepared and ready renter, equipped with information about the rental process, fair housing laws, affordability, alternatives to market rent apartments, securing an apartment, understanding a lease, and landlord-tenant laws.

“Ready to Rent” workshops cover topics including tenant and landlord responsibilities, subsidized housing options, budgeting, housing, credit and criminal histories, apartment searching, move-in inspections, renters insurance, and more.
