Early Head Start
Early Head Start serves pregnant women and families with children up to 3 years old, with a special focus on teen parents. Our home-based and center-based services run full day/full year to offer developmentally appropriate experiences to support physical, social, emotional, cognitive and language development while empowering positive parent-child relationships.
Early Head Start home-based services are currently enrolling infants and children up to age 3. Early Head Start is free to enroll for eligible families. For questions, please call 717-846-4600 and select 0 to speak with a Resource Navigator.
Early Head Start is funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). This institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
HEALTH AND NUTRITION
Early Head Start provides nutritional support and health screenings to ensure that children are growing physically, as well as intellectually and socially.
Working together, parents and their Family Coach develop goals for their own journey toward self-sufficiency.
