Community Progress Council helps people do more than just survive at the poverty line.
Since 1965, we’ve helped low-income families break the cycle of crisis and move toward economic self-sufficiency.
The path out of poverty is not a straight line from point A to point B. The journey can be difficult, overwhelming, frustrating, and lonely – and the barriers a family can face are complex.
But progress is possible.
Progress toward self-sufficiency requires comprehensive, integrated services.
In the past decade, Community Progress Council has successfully transitioned our service delivery model to better reflect this comprehensive, integrated approach. At the start, every person is welcomed through centralized intake. Based on their circumstances and goals, they can be paired with a coach — their cheerleader, advocate, and connector to supportive services. Every person has a different path of out poverty, and so each person is in control of their journey.
The impact is huge.
Greater ease of access to integrated services that work in tandem means more people can make progress toward self-sufficiency and reach their goals.
