What is SCSEP?
The Senior Community Service
Employment Program (SCSEP) is a work-training program for
low-income seniors age 55 and older. It is funded by the
Department of Labor and operated through the National Council on
the Aging.
How does someone qualify for this program?
All participants must meet age,
income and residency requirements and be unemployed. Please

What
is the income level?
Participant's income must be below
125% of the federal poverty level. It is best to

not all income is counted.
What will SCSEP dot o help me find a job?
SCSEP will provide training to help
you qualify for a job. Participants train for 20 hours per week
and are paid a stipend at the current minimum wage rate. SCSEP
will provide computer training, job search assistance, interview
training and help with resume preparation. Over 50% of our
participants have been placed in unsubsidized employment.
