Director - Community Centers - Hanover
Opportunity for an individual who enjoys combination of managing an
office, community outreach, and personal interaction with clients.
Responsibilities include interviewing clients to determine eligibility
for service, speaking to public organizations, supervising part-time
staff and/ or volunteers, preparing required reports, maintaining a safe
and orderly office, providing timely, efficient and effective services,
meeting with other community organizations to integrate services and/ or
develop responses to community needs.
Requires a minimum of an Associate's degree in appropriate field of
study, such as human services or business management, or high school
diploma plus at least 12 college credits in related courses (human
services) and at least one year of related work experience, or
equivalent combination of education and experience. Above average data
entry skills, strong letter writing and public speaking is a must. Work
32 - 40 hours/ week, pay range begins at $12.00/ hour, depending upon

Floating
Assistant
Teacher - Early Head Start
This
is a new ARRA grant funded position through September 2011. Assist in
providing a safe, nurturing, and responsive environment for infants and
toddlers. Must work well with diverse individuals and families.
Bilingual (English - Spanish) skills are helpful. Requires HS diploma or
GED, related work experience, pay range begins at $10.32 per hour,
depending upon level of education and experience. 30 hours per week, 50

Assistant Cook - Head Start
Assists Head Cook or Center Cook with food preparation, cleaning duties,
and storage of food and supplies (training will be provided). Transports
prepared foods to classrooms at mealtimes. Will work with diverse
individuals. Must have Act 33 clearances (prior to employment) and Act
73 clearances, passing bi-annual health exam and tb test within 30 days
of hire. Requires HS diploma or GED, related work experience in quantity
cooking and reliable transportation for regular and timely attendance.
Positions are 20 - 24 hours/ week, 38 weeks/ year. Pay range begins at
$7.62 per hour with higher compensation dependant on skills, education

Assistant
Teacher - Head Start
The
Assistant Teacher aids the classroom Teacher in all aspects of the
education program, including planning and carrying out the Head Start
curriculum while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for the
children. Must be reliable in attendance and work with diverse
individuals. Requires high school diploma or GED plus one year of
experience in a child development center (pre-school or elementary).
Must obtain CDA (Child Development Associate Certificate) within 2 years
of hire as required by federal mandate. Requires Act 33 clearances prior
to employment; a physical exam, TB test and FBI clearances within 30
days of hire date. 35 hours/ week for 41 weeks/ year. Pay range begins
at $10.01 per hour, with higher compensation dependant on skills,
education, and Head Start experience.
Family Development Assistant - Early Head Start
This
is an AARA funded position through September 2011. The Family
Development Assistant will assist with weekly home visits and provide
transportation for bi-weekly socializations and social service
appointments for pregnant women, parents and their infant or toddler.
Must maintain accurate records. Must work well with diverse individuals
and families. Requires Associate's degree (A.A.) in Early Childhood
Education, Child Development, Child and Family Studies, Human
Development and one year experience in a child development center with
infants and toddlers OR high school diploma/ GED plus one year of
experience in a child development center with infants and toddlers. Must
have CDA (Child Development Associate Certificate) as required by
federal mandate.
Must
have driver's license clearance report. Salary begins at $10.01 per hour
depending upon experience, 40 hours/ week, 50 weeks/ year. Applications

The applicant must register prior
to going to the fingerprint site. Walk in service without prior
registration will not be provided at any fingerprinting location.
Registration is completed online or over the phone. Registration is
available online 24 hours/day, seven days/week at
http://www.pa.cogentid.com.
Telephonic registration is available at 1-888-439-2486 Monday
through Friday, 8am to 6pm EST. During the registration process, all
demographic data for the applicant is collected (name, address, SSN,
etc.) so there is no data entry required at the fingerprint
collection site.

The applicant will pay a fee of $36.00
for the fingerprint service and to secure the Criminal History
Record. Applicants may make their payment online at
http://www.pa.cogentid.com
using a credit card or debit card. Money orders or cashier's checks
payable to the Cogent Systems will be accepted on site for those
applicants who do not have the means to pay electronically. No cash
transactions or personal checks are allowed.

The applicant proceeds to the
fingerprint site of their choice for fingerprinting. The location of
the fingerprint sites and days and hours of operation for each site
will be posted on Cogent Systems' website at
http://www.pa.cogentid.com.
The locations of the fingerprint sites may change over time so
applicants are encouraged to confirm the site location.

At the fingerprint site the Applicant
Livescan Operators (ALO) manage the fingerprint collection process.

The fingerprint transaction begins
when the ALO reviews the applicant's qualified State or Federal
photo ID before processing the applicant's transaction. A list of
approved ID types may be found on the Cogent Systems' website at
http://www.pa.cogentid.com.
Applicants will not be processed if they cannot produce an
acceptable photo ID.

After the identity of the applicant
has been established, all ten fingers are scanned to complete the
process. The entire fingerprint capture process should take no more
than three to five minutes. Applicants will be provided with a
Cogent Systems registration ID number. This number MUST be provided
to the human resources department at CPC.

The applicant's scanned fingerprints
will be electronically transmitted to the Pennsylvania State Police,
who in turn submit the fingerprints and demographic information to
the FBI as required by federal statute.

The Pennsylvania Department of
Education (PDE) will receive the Federal Criminal History Record
from the FBI. Applicants will need to submit their Cogent Systems
registration ID number to human resources.

A paper copy of the results will be
mailed to your home address. Results must be submitted to the human
resources department at CPC.
